Masai Barefoot Technology, or MBT, is the first physiological footwear: footwear that has a positive effect on the whole body. The health- and fitness-enhancing concept behind MBT is based on a straightforward insight: the human musculoskeletal system is designed to walk barefoot on natural, uneven ground. We, however, walk almost exclusively on hard, flat surfaces.
